    Lionel Messi

      Lionel Andrés Messi, also known as Leo Messi, is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and captains the Argentina national team.

      Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, Messi has won a record seven Ballon d'Or awards, a record six European Golden Shoes, and in 2020 was named to the Ballon d'Or Dream Team. A prolific goalscorer and creative playmaker, Messi holds the records for most goals in La Liga , most hat-tricks in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League (eight), and most assists in La Liga  and the Copa América. Messi has scored over 795 senior career goals for club and country, and has the most goals by a player for a single club.



    Career Life:

    Barcelona (2003-2021):

      Lionel Messi is considered one of the greatest football players of all time, and he spent the majority of his career playing for FC Barcelona in Spain. Messi joined the Barcelona youth academy at the age of 13 and quickly rose through the ranks, making his first-team debut in 2004 at just 17 years old.

      Over the next 20 years, Messi became the face of Barcelona and one of the most iconic players in the history of the sport. He won numerous individual awards, including seven Ballon d'Or trophies, and helped Barcelona win countless team titles, including four Champions League titles and ten La Liga titles.

    • Winning 10 La Liga titles, 7 Copa del Rey titles, and 4 Champions League titles with Barcelona.

    •  Scoring an incredible 672 goals in 778 appearances for the club, making him the top scorer in Barcelona's history.

    • Winning the Ballon d'Or (awarded to the best player in the world) a record 4 times at Barcelona.

    • Helping Barcelona to achieve an unprecedented treble in the 2008-2009 season, winning La Liga, Copa del Rey, and Champions League titles all in the same year.

    Paris Saint-Germain(2022-2023)

      On 10th Aug 2022, Messi joined French club Paris Saint-Germain. Messi chose 30 as his squad number, the same he wore as a teenager when he made his senior debut for Barcelona.

      On 19th Sep, Messi made his home debut for PSG in a 2–1 win over Lyon. On 21 November, Messi scored his first Ligue 1 goal in a 3–1 home victory over Nantes. Later that month, he provided a hat-trick of assists for the fifth time in his career as PSG beat Saint-Étienne 3–1 away from home. On 23 April, he helped PSG clinch their 10th Ligue 1 title after scoring from a strike outside the 18-yard box in a 1–1 draw against Lens at home. Messi finished his debut season with 11 goals and 14 assists across all competitions.

      After adjusting to his new surroundings and settling in Paris, under new coach Christophe Galtier, Messi returned to his preferred free attacking role; being placed in his favoured position as the playmaker behind two strikers, in a attacking trident with Neymar and Kylian Mbappé, quickly regaining his form from his previous season by starting off the new season on 31 July by scoring PSG's first goal in a 4–0 victory over Nantes in the Trophée des Champions, winning his second trophy with PSG.

    Inter Miami CF

       Following confirmation of his departure from PSG, Messi was linked with a return to former club Barcelona, as well as with a big-money move to Saudi Professional League club Al-Hilal, but his eventual decision to sign for Major League Soccer club Inter Miami was communicated to Barcelona president Joan Laporta by 5 June 2023. Barcelona were unable to sign him due to financial constraints.

    International Career:

      Messi made his debut for the Argentina national team in 2005 and has since played in several major international tournaments, including the World Cup and the Copa America.

    Messi won his first major international trophy with Argentina in the 2021 Copa America, where he was named Player of the Tournament.

      In the 2022 FIFA World Cup final on 18 December, Messi made his record 26th World Cup finals appearance at Lusail Stadium. And finally won the champion of the world cup with his extrodinary performance, which made him get the Golden Ball for player of the tournament, becoming the first player to win it twice.

    Overall, Messi has scored over 70 goals for Argentina and has been the team's captain since 2011. Despite the challenges he has faced with the national team, Messi's impact and influence on the team cannot be overstated.

      Lionel Messi is a professional footballer from Argentina who has achieved great success in his career. In terms of his personal life, Messi is married to his long-term partner Antonella Roccuzzo. The couple has known each other since they were children and got married in 2017. They have three children together, named Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro.


      In addition to his family, Messi has a few close friends who have been by his side throughout his career. He is also known for his philanthropic work, particularly through the Lionel Messi Foundation, which aims to improve the lives of vulnerable children around the world.
